Mike and Diane, thank you for the lovely peaceful 4 nights we enjoyed when we stayed with you a few days ago on our way back from the Vendee. Toilets and shower were immaculate, thank you. You keep the camping field beautifully, it was a joy to be there. Thank you too for your kind, friendly hospitality, the marrow and cucumber were lovely too! On your recommendation we visited the cathedral and gardens at Coutances - and found them to be just lovely. Utah Beach and then Granville were very much enjoyed too. As promised, when a trip from Caen happens, we will be back!

We stayed with Mike & Diane for a week in July 2017. We chose this site as a base for visiting places of interest in Normandy. The site is lovely and quiet, shower & toilet block always immaculately clean. Village a short distance away with a few shops with an excellent bakery. What more can we say, as in other comments, this is a great place to stay and Mike and Diane are the friendliest hosts we have come across. We would highly recommend this site, you will not be disappointed.

We had a great week in July 2012 staying in the static. Very comfortable and a much appreciated bottle in the fridge to welcome us!
Mike and Diane made us feel at home and were very helpful with information about where to visit. The bell foundry was especially interesting.
Hope to visit again for this years Tour!!

We stayed at this beautiful site in June this year. It lies in a very peaceful setting and yet we were able to visit the Normandy beaches each day, and the village is a 20 minute walk away.
The facilites are spotlessly clean and, above all the owners, Diane and Mike, are the friendliest we have ever encountered in all the years we have been camping, nothing was too much trouble and they always had time for a chat. It was an absolute pleasure to enjoy their hospitality. I would urge anyone going to the area to stay here, you cannot help having a great time

Well folks, we have just found a little gem of a site in Hambye.
The site itself is lovely and peaceful, and the toilets and shower, are immaculate.
The owners Mike and Dianne, are wanderful hosts. nothing is too much trouble for them.
The site is perfectley located for touring, and visiting the D-day beaches.
We only stayed 5 nights, but will definatley go back again.
Well done Mike and Dianne Its a credit to you.
Hugs for sam (the Dog)

What a brilliant peacefull campsite, Mike & Diane are great hosts and immediatly made us welcome.
2 of us travelled on motorbikes with all our camping equipment and stayed for 4 nights (would have loved to have stayed longer). The shower and toilets were spotless, also Mike let us store our provisions (lager) in the workshop fridges. We met some great friends, Rick & Marie, lovely motorhome, Rich, Joan and Barney the dog. We all had a great BBQ on our last night. The campsite is well located for the Normandy beaches but far enough away to be quiet and in the wilderness. We will visit again very soon.

Just got back from a four night stay at Camping aux Champs as part of our motorcycling touring holiday. What can I say about the camp-site - one word awesome!
Mike and Sue the owners were great - welcomed us on our arrival and saw us off, great people.
The toilets etc are clinically clean as is the whole camp-site. The location is central to everything, especially for the D-Day visits etc.
The location was bliss fully peaceful and very relaxing, so if you want a relaxing break get yourself here to chill out 100%!
We also met some fantastic people on the camp-site and we had a great get together with them on our last night...
To sum up, very highly recommended and relaxing....
I know I will be back!!!

Camping Aux Champs is a lovely quiet and peaceful site in the depths of the glorious Normandy countryside close to the pretty village of Hambye with its ruined abbey by the River Sienne which is made all the better by the kind and caring owners, Mike and Dianne who were there to greet us in the dark of the late evening when we were late as a result of a tyre blowout on the autoroute to Caen. Mike helped us to restore power to our damaged fridge and Dianne allowed us the use of facilities in the mobile caravan on site which enabled us to continue with our holiday. The site is in an excellent position which enabled us to visit the numerous interesting places around Normandy. It is extremely well kept and has all the facilities we needed. The toilets, shower and washing up area were all kept scrupulously clean with liquid soap and towels provided. We would strongly recommend this site to anyone who likes a small quiet site with friendly owners who will do anything for you. We couldn't have wished for anything better.
